Terms & Conditions

1. 'Sarah Quinn Design Studio' refers to Sarah Quinn trading as Sarah Quinn Design Studio.

2. 'The Client' refers to the party making a booking for design-related services from Sarah Quinn Design Studio.

3. 'An Order' refers to the request for services from Sarah Quinn Design Studio.

4. 'The project' is a term used to describe the service provided by Sarah Quinn Design Studio.

The following terms and conditions apply to all interactions between The Client and Sarah Quinn Design Studio. By placing an order with Sarah Quinn Design Studio, you, as a Client, are entering into a legally binding contract for services and agree to the following terms & conditions.

QUOTATIONS

• All quotes remain valid for a period of 7 days.

• All prices exclude GST unless otherwise stated.

• All prices are in Australian Dollars.

• Any additional work outside the scope of the original quote will be charged at an hourly rate of $90 per hour.

• Sarah Quinn Design Studio cannot be held responsible for any price increases in materials by third-party services (e.g., printers, packaging suppliers, web developers) beyond our control.

PAYMENTS

• A non-refundable booking deposit of 50% is required before commencing any design project valued at over $800.

• Full payment is required upfront for all design projects under $800.

• Overseas clients are required to pay 100% upfront, irrespective of the project price.

• Payments can be made via bank deposit transfer or PayPal.

• PayPal is an available payment option, subject to a 3% fee.

• Invoice terms are 5 business days from the invoice date.

• Accounts not paid on time will incur a late administration fee of $50 + GST.

• Accounts remaining outstanding for 14 days after the invoice date will incur an additional fee equivalent to 5% of the project costs for each week the payment remains outstanding.

• Final artwork files and final website designs will only be provided once the invoice has been paid in full.

• Any work not completed within a 2-month period will be invoiced accordingly.

• Payment is required for any artwork or drafts that have been terminated at your request, prior to completion. An invoice will be issued for the work completed to date.

• The Client is responsible for any costs incurred for debt collection if unpaid invoices require such action.

CANCELATION

• The Client may cancel this Agreement by providing written notice of a minimum of 10 days to Sarah Quinn Design Studio. Any deposit paid prior to cancellation will be non-refundable.

• Sarah Quinn Design Studio reserves the right to cancel this Agreement at any time by providing written notice to The Client. In the event of cancellation by Sarah Quinn Design Studio, any completed and paid artwork will be provided to The Client.

NO GUARANTEES

• Sarah Quinn Design Studio cannot guarantee the outcome of design services, and any comments made by The Client regarding the outcome are expressions of opinion only.

• The Client acknowledges that Sarah Quinn Design Studio cannot guarantee specific results for design projects, as outcomes are subjective and beyond Sarah Quinn Design Studio's control.

COMMUNICATION

• Sarah Quinn Design Studio is an online business, and therefore, most communication occurs via email to effectively track specific design requirements and changes.

• Phone or Zoom consultations can be arranged upon request, with appointments scheduled through email communication.

COPYRIGHT

• Upon full payment of a completed project, The Client assumes full copyright and reproduction rights.

• Sarah Quinn Design Studio retains personal rights to use completed projects and concept artwork for marketing purposes.

• All images displayed on the Sarah Quinn Design Studio website or social media pages are subject to copyright and must not be copied or used without full permission from Sarah Quinn Design Studio and the Client. Any breach of copyright will result in necessary legal action.

DESIGN CREDIT

• The Client allows Sarah Quinn Design Studio to display any projects on the Sarah Quinn Design Studio website, social media pages, and portfolio for self-promotion purposes.

• The Client agrees to allow Sarah Quinn Design Studio to credit design work on all websites designed by Sarah Quinn Design Studio.

TURNAROUND TIMES

• Sarah Quinn Design Studio will make every effort to meet deadlines. All quoted turnaround times are approximate. Sarah Quinn Design Studio will not be held responsible or liable for any costs when the client has not met the said deadlines

APPROVAL

• Approval is required for all projects via email prior to work being released.

• While all care is taken by Sarah Quinn Design Studio, Sarah Quinn Design Studio is not responsible for any spelling, grammatical, or numerical errors, or omissions after final approval. Even if these errors are from Sarah Quinn Design Studio, it is the Client's responsibility to proofread and thoroughly check their projects to identify any errors prior to approval.

IMAGES

• Some designs may contain stock images that are available for purchase.

• Any images supplied by the Client must be provided in high resolution and preferably in RGB.

• Sarah Quinn Design Studio is not responsible for the reproduction quality of supplied images.

COLOUR MATCHING & PRINTING

• While all care is taken, Sarah Quinn Design Studio does not take responsibility for Client-supplied artwork that does not print properly.

• Please note that colours on projects can vary from screen to the final product. Screen proofing is not indicative of the final printed piece. Printed colours can vary from printer to printer, job to job, run to run, or even front to back, due to the nature of the CMYK printing process.

• Trimming may vary from printer to printer.

These terms and conditions govern the relationship between The Client and Sarah Quinn Design Studio. By engaging in our design services, you acknowledge your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
